BLACK-EYED PEAS
January 1, 2006

Black-eyed Peas

Supposed to be good luck—

Supposes I think I had some

Or that I live in hope I shall

Someday believe

A portion shall be mine.

What I know is good

Luck is supposed to be

In such beans.

What I truly know is ill

Comes regardless

Of good luck.

It’s not about the beans—

It’s not about luck or something else—

So eat your black-eyed peas

And live on good man—

Life is yours.
